With some twenty years experience in the roots theater movement as actor, producer and director, Andrew Baker is on the streets of New York City with another hilarious comedy play The Con Game.

The two-hour-long comedy depicts the lives of a Jamaican family and their deceptive relationships with neighbors and friends. They say man is smart, but woman is smarter and before the night is over somebody is getting conned in the worst way. Fresh from her lead role in movie “Total Corruption,” Cavel James as Angel is chief con artist – the swindler who exploits the confidence of her victims. After a number of clever and deceptive encounters, Angel married an moved in with Andy Gardon who plays the role of Danny Boy, an immigration officer.
A former dancer in the Tivoli Gardens Dance Troupe, Jackie Williams plays the role as a household helper called
Dorthorty who was one of the most successful higglers in a Kingston market until she was robbed by Angel’s husband.
Dorthorty became the disguised household helper as she seeks revenge and regains her wealth. Andrew Baker, aka “Mass Joe” the feisty and cocky landlord, has plans to migrate and sold his house to his tenant, Danny
Boy.
TamaraWaites (as Stacy) is a close confidant of Angel who is trapped in a love triangle relationships with Dangel (Curtis Jackson), a deportee who is employed as a meter reader for the Jamaican Public Utility company. The performance highlighted the negative and deceptive behavior of females in relationship and business. “This is a clean, family, friendly play for the entire family,” Baker explained.
The opening performance hits the streets of New York on May 7, 2011 at Tilden High School in Brooklyn, followed by a performance on May 14 in Queens and on May 15 in the Bronx. For tickets and information
